Wedding Season is Here
It is that time of year. The Wedding Season. Although weddings happen all year round in the Turks and Caicos, this is the time of year that is especially favorable to bride's and grrom's to be. The weather is fabulous and the beach is perfect as always. Why not say I do on the sugar powder sand of Grace Bay Beach. Some of the fantastic resorts that offer superior weddings include, the Regent Palms, The Somerset on Grace Bay and The Gansevoort Resort. For a really special and intimate one of a kind wedding check out Amergis Cay. Ambergis Cay is a small island which is a short flight from Provo. It is definitely Five Star. This is the place where you can have a wedding that will be talked about for years to come. Traditional weddings in the city have always been the same. People try to top each other and find ways to do something new to make sure their guests think that their wedding was fantastic, but generally they are all the same. The great thing about destination weddings is that they can be over the top in a place that your guests may never have been before. That makes it unique in itself, giving your guests a reason to tell everyone what a grat time they had. When choosing your destination wedding, think Turks and Caicos. I promise you and your guests won't be disappointed.

Bagatelle @ Gansevoort, Wymara, Turks & Caicos
I can not say enough good things about this resort and the restaurant. The resort was formerly Wymara Resort, but now they are going as Gansevoort, which is a chain of hotels that are located in New York, California, South Beach and Toronto. The staff are top notch, not to mention the decors. The hotel manager is Grant. Grant has a way about him that is so sincere and welcoming. The clean lines of the rooms are modern, yet not too modern, if that makes sense. They went all out on the decor with huge flat screen tv's and bose sound docks. All I can say is that it is minimal, but elaborate at the same time. You have to see it, absolutely gorgeous.
So, on to the restaurant. Bagatelle from what the waiter told me, is the name of the restaurant at each of the Gansevoort hotels. I had the filet mignon with fries, a beranaise sauce to die for and tiramisu like I have never had before. I have eaten at restaurants all over the world and in my opinion this was the best filet and beranaise I have ever had. The tiramisu was fantastic. It was made in a different way with a caramel sauce. The ambiance is chic and sophisticated. The wait staff are new, but very eager to please. You can really tell they are trying really hard. So to sum it up, Bagatelle is a must when in the Turks & Caicos. If you want to stay at Gansevoort as well, even better.

Paradise Found in Turks & Caicos

The Turks & Caicos Islands are beautiful by nature. The tranquil turquoise waters speak for themselves. Remember the days when you could see stars for miles? Villa Roi Soleil on the southern shores of Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands is paradise. The villa is unique in the way that it is set out in pods. It reminds me of being in the greek islands with their little sugar cube houses and blue accents, only the water is prettier in Turks & Caicos. Renting at a reasonable $3500 per week, this villa has all of the features of home. Three bedrooms, four bathrooms and a spectacular infinity pool. Check out all of the pictures at http://www.tcislandproperty.com/ or email info@tcislandpeoperty.com for reservations.

A New Year - Turks & Caicos
There is no better place to visit than the Turks & Caicos Islands. Those that come here, fall in love with it right away. It is really like no other islands. The beaches, the beautiful turquoise water and tranquility make it unique. There is relatively little crime, making it one of the safest islands around, which is an attractive feature.
The media has made 2009 out to be a really bad year and almost like the world is ending. We have all been through this before. Life goes on and so should everybody. Maybe you don't have the resources to do everything that you want to do, but understand that travel is very important. It is what keeps most of us going at times. Living in a city, getting up each day, going to work, back home and then doing it all over again, totally not for me. So I found this little island where stress just isn't the same. There is a strong sense of community. People care about their neighbors. You just don't get that in big cities any more.
Providenciales is a unique place in the world. We worry more about what we are going to do with our friends and family later than being 5 minutes late for work. The atmosphere is relaxed, the view is unbelievable and there is slower pace to life. Don't get me wrong we still get things done, when it comes to work, but we value socialization with others more than anyone ever could in a big city. We don't book time 3 weeks from now to get together with friends. We say let's get together tonight.
2009 may be the best year ever to get to know a beutiful group of islands and some really amazing people. It may help make people realize the really important things in life, health, family and friends.
